This is Michael looking rather studious in my awesome antique rocker chair. I first saw the chair at a moving sale and instantly fell in love with it, but dismissed said love because I was sure it would be more than I had to spend. So I continued on, looking around, but on my way out I couldn't leave without saying my farewells to the chair. I looked for the price tag and it said "make offer." I hate it when things say that- I never know what to offer. I'm pretty cheap, so I knew what I came up with would be pretty low. I was thinking $75, but I asked the woman in charge what she'd take for it first. She said $15!!! I thought that was great, but I never pay full price for anything, so I said, "will you take $11?" She accepted, but just before I was about to fork over my singles, my dear husband came up and asked what on earth we needed that funky chair for. This was something I could take advantage of, so I quietly asked him if he would go wait for me in the car. Once he left, I turned to the lady and said,
"Well, will you take five dollars for the chair?"
Her reply: "The husband?"
Me: "Yes."
Her: "It's yours."
Sweet!

My sweet Ryan has a little tradition- every time we go to the High Desert Museum, he must climb on each and every statue.

When I visited the Portland temple several months ago, they were just finishing up cleaning it. I always wondered how they cleaned the tops of the spires!

Michael rockin his brand new guitar. He has been taking lessons for a few months now and is getting pretty good. So proud of this guy!

Also a few months ago, my car rolled over 100,000 miles. Not very exciting, I know- except the more miles we get on that baby, the closer she gets to breaking down for good... and then we will have the excuse to get a new(er) vehicle. I'm not complaining- it has been a good, reliable car. And we don't have any payments on it, which is wonderful. I just think it is probably one of the ugliest cars ever...

One day while Michael was at guitar lessons, the other two boys and I walked across the street to the park- we have some amazing places here in Bend, several right in the middle of town. Here are a few more pictures from that afternoon:

Okay this next one is odd, but sometimes you just have to play with your cell phones fun features, so here I am...

I kind of like the green lips.

A couple of weeks ago, Michael and I took a field trip to a corn maze that was right next to Smith Rock. I L-O-V-E Smith Rock, and the view (when we could see it) made the afternoon that much better. It was a fun time.

Finally, a last week we heard about this great little place where we could pick apples- For Free! So we picked to our hearts delight and ended up with probably 60 pounds of apples. Yummy!
That's it for now. Time to de-clutter my phone!
