I have already grown to really love Bend. There is so much to do if you are the outdoorsy type- which the Meerdink family happens to be. I've managed to catch a few of our outings on film...
Atop Pilot Butte- a little hike in the middle of town.
A walk through a cemetery- yes, we do that sometimes.
Smith Rock- awesome place to hike. 20 minutes from our house.

Steven was the only lucky one that day.
Newberry Volcano Caldera.
We went up on Memorial day, not expecting to find knee deep snow. So much fun!!!
Same day- Memorial day. 20 miles away from the caldera,
we checked out the lava lands around Lava Butte.
Here it was sunny, hot and dry.
And equally awesome.

WOW!! Looks like you are having a ball and Bend totally fits your family. We are sooooo happy for you guys. Great to see everyone having fun. Keep the pictures coming, especially after we move.

What an awesome family . . . .and a great photographer, too! So glad things are smoothing out and you can return to a sense of "normalcy" -- whatever that means! :-)
